Carolina cattlemen visit Domek Ranch Charolais producers visit western operations
Three Charolais cattle producers from the Carolinas visited several western Charolais cattle operations while traveling during the summer of 2002. Their stops included cattle operations in South Dakota and Montana.
The North Carolina and South Carolina purebred producers toured the Domek Ranch and learned some of the management differences in cattle operations located in western states from thoses of east coast states.

East Coast Cattlemen buy at Carolinas Sale
Domek Charolais and Water Charolais added three new customers as a result of participating in the Carolinas Charolais Sale in September of 2002. The annual Carolinas Charolais Sale is held in Anderson, SC and is sponsored by Charolais organizations in North and South Carolinas.
The three sale entries submitted by Domek and Walter Charolais featured cattle from their top herd sire LT Outback 0081P, a featured son of LT Wyoming Wind.
Mike and Willa Armstong of Triple A Farm, Davidson, NC purchased the Walter Charolais sale entry -- an LT Outback sired heifer. The Armstrongs are pictured above.
Larry and Shirley Edwards (pictured above) of Mazeppa Charolais Farm in Mt. Ulla, NC, purchased the Walter Charolais breed cow entry. The cow is bred to LT Outback and expecting twin bull calves.
The Domek Charolais entry was a bred heifer and a daughter of the LT Outback herd sire. The LT Outback daughter was purchased by the Martin family cattle operation in Taccoa, GA.
